Adding a rower to your gym routine is one of the best decisions you can make. Although it may seem daunting at first, this total-body workout provides invaluable benefits. Yet, it’s understandable if you don’t want to cut your teeth on one of these machines for the first time with curious eyes gazing at you from across the gym floor. On the other hand, a rower takes up a considerable amount of floor space in your home as well.
Fortunately, Hydrow, known for its eponymous flagship model, has just debuted the Hydrow Wave, a slimmed-down version for those of us with limited real estate. 30% smaller than the larger model so you no longer have to shoehorn a large rowing machine into a cramped space, this edition is 80″ long, 19″ wide, and weighs only 120lbs, even though it can hold body weights up to 375lbs and accommodate up to a 36″ inseam. When you’re done, you can store the machine upright against your wall thanks to the Vertical Anchor, which is sold separately.
Despite the smaller frame, the Hydrow Wave still boasts the same quality and capabilities as the flagship model, such as the ergonomic handle grips to take the stress off your hands and wrists, and a black polycarbonate frame for ultimate sturdiness. The HD screen also drops to 16″ and can be used to experience Hydrow’s library of over 4,000 workouts and a one-on-one personal coaching session, which is available for free with purchase.
The Hydrow Wave is significantly less expensive than the previous model at just $1,495, with extra packages available as well. The Vertical Anchor is also available for $190, while the Hydrow All-Access membership costs $38 per month.
